B4U Drink is our new campaign to promote reduced drinking and to encourage everyone to think about how much they are drinking and the effects afterwards. So think about what you are doing the day after a night out?

  • Do you have to look after someone today?
  • Will you be fit for work?

Alcohol & Calories

Did you know that a glass of wine has the same calorie content as a slice of cake and that a pint of lager is the calorific equivalent of a burger? Alcoholic drinks are made by fermenting natural starch and sugars – this includes drinks such as wine, beer, cider and spirits. High sugar content in your drink equates to high calorie content. Calories in alcohol are ’empty’ calories as they have no nutritional content what so ever.

Mocktails are mock cocktails, or those that do not contain any alcohol. Any drink recipe can be modified by simply leaving the alcohol out, however, these recipes are some of the more common mocktails. These non alcoholic drinks are great for serving the entire family and a nice alternative for party guests who prefer not to drink alcohol.
